I was asked to create a journal for the participants of our church group’s pioneer trek excursion (Basically a partial re-enactment of the Mormon handcart pioneers journey from Nauvoo to Utah – Read more here). Anyway, the picture below is the front (right side) and back (left side) cover of the journal. The photo is one that I took in 2011 when I passed through the area on my way to South Dakota (Original Here). If you would like to see the whole thing, click the PDF link below. the picture It is laid out to be 1/2 sheet size, and so each spread takes up a full page.
You are welcome to use it for inspiration or just use pieces within for your own, you just can’t sell it.

Is it possible to get this in a word or .pub format? We have the same theme and would love to capture your graphic and design of the journal. It is awesome.

The original was done in Adobe Illustrator, and unfortunately I don’t know of a way to export to either MS Word or MS Publisher. You can use specific pages and combine them in another PDF, and that would probably be my recommendation.

I am in charge of the 2014 Trek for Oakland and Concord, CA stakes and our theme is Faith in Every Footstep. We’ve only done trek one other year so we are having to create so many files. This is a perfect journal for our youth. Is there any way you could send me the Illustrator file? I would like to use your ideas but put in other songs. Thank you so much for any help you can give me on this very large endeavor! Roxanne Whitbeck
