I love using my new lathe. It’s a Laguna 1524 – meaning its max over bed is 15″ and max length for turning is 24″. I have turned a few spindles like on the cake plates shown below, but mostly flats and bowls. One of my favorite woods to turn is maple, because of it’s clean white color, but I also love Apricot because of its deep orange color. Which one is your favorite?
