This scene is lonely. I am reveling in the lonliness of it. I especailly love the road winding away, showing the one long way to get to anywhere else. Obviously someone worked here, evidenced by the fences and buildings. But also obvious is the encroaching nature in their absence, evidenced by the sage brush. These buildings once held life and now they don’t, they keep each other company and I would hate to see them in color or with little wildflowers all over, because they don’t need cheering up, they have their pride and they will wait.
