During our visit to California, we were able to take a tour of the Santa Anita Racetrack, where Seabiscuit and other notable horses raced in the 1930’s. It was fun to see the races, having never attended one before. California Chrome, an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won the 2014 Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes raced on the day we were there. He was named the 2014 American Horse of the Year, so that was cool too.
