Our sprinklers come on early in the morning, so the other day I went outside to these in the flower garden. It’s not dew, but I think it looks awesome.

Trip to Ophir

My brother-in-law and sister invited us to Ophir to go camping. I am not a huge fan of camping. I like everything leading up to sleeping in a tent, and then everything the next day, just the overnight part that is frustrating. I HATE being cold. Yeah, there are things you can do about that, but I cannot count the number of times I have awoken at 3 something a.m. and just laid there frustrated waiting until the point I could just get up and make a fire and continue the day.

Anyway, while we were out there I took a ride on the 4 wheeler and took some nice pictures to share. Prints are available here or here

Winding Road HDR

Okay, so this is my first attempt at HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography. It’s more what the eyes see, but exaggerated. To create this photo, I used 3 photos. One that exposed the photo for the brightness of the sky, one in the middle, and one for the brightness of the ground.

They are then combined in Photoshop (or other programs) to get the best of each photograph. It turned out pretty well in my opinion. What do you think?

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

Saturday I had the opportunity to attend the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival. Over 250,000 tulips in all, it was spectacular. The weather was mild (mid 60′s) and was slightly overcast which made for some good lighting. Below are some of the shots I managed to get, and prints in many sizes are available here.
