About This Blog
The purpose of this blog is partly a showcase for my skills, part experiment, and partly a way for me to get out and take more pictures. My goal is to post 1 picture per day for (at least) 365 days. I hope you enjoy them and please leave comments about what you like (and don’t) about each picture.Follow Me

Geoff, I think it’s fantastic you’re so ambitious to take a photo a day! It’s certainly a challenge. One thing I’ve noticed is that with many of your photos the subject is directly in the center.
So I issue you a challenge, for one of your next photos, try using rule of thirds to guide your photo
“It’s the eye of the chicken, it’s the thrill of the fight, rising up to the challenge of our rivals!”
Sorry, couldn’t help it
I quite like this photo because the items featured seem to disagree. Generally you wouldn’t expect a green plant to be flowering in the snow much less to see a chicken standing out in the cold. Having chickens I know otherwise, but in my mind chickens belong in dusty streets and fenced in pens with no vegetation. While I would agree with Ryan, the eye of the chicken, that seems to be the emphasis, is in the upper third and that is where your eye is intially drawn.
